The ERC’s frontier research grants operate on a ’bottom-up’ basis without predetermined priorities. The ERC puts particular emphasis on the frontiers of science, scholarship and engineering. In particular, it encourages proposals of an interdisciplinary nature which cross the boundaries between different fields of research, pioneering proposals addressing new and emerging fields of research or proposals introducing unconventional, innovative approaches and scientific inventions.
Three ERC frontier research grants will be available under Work Programme 2015 : Starting ; Consolidator ; and Advanced Grants.
Important extensions to the restrictions on applications will apply to the 2015 calls based on the outcome of the evaluation of the 2014 calls.
Applications may be made in any field of research. All proposals must be complete and submitted before the relevant call deadline :
Starting Grant, Call identifier ERC-2015-StG, Call Opens 7 October 2014,
Deadline 3 February 2015.
Consolidator Grant, Call identifier ERC-2015-CoG, Call Opens 13 November 2014,
Deadline 12 March 2015.
Advanced Grant, Call identifier ERC-2015-AdG, Call Opens 10 February 2015,

Proof of Concept Grant, Call identifier ERC-2015-PoC, Call Opens 7 November 2014 Deadlines 5 February 2015, 28 May 2015, 1 October 2015.
