Call for proposals

The South Africa / France PROTEA Programme is a bilateral incentive Programme dedicated to strengthening the South Africa/French collaborative research. It is co-funded by both the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research from the French side, and the National Research Foundation from the South African side.
The development of the PROTEA Programme was based on a shared conviction regarding the importance of science, technology and innovation in building and sustaining a knowledge-based economy. It is a financial instrument supporting mobility and training of “incoming and outgoing” researchers, contributing to the development of new partnerships and to the strengthening of advanced scientific and technological exchanges between research institutions in South Africa and France. The duration of the projects is two years.

PROTEA est le Partenariat Hubert Curien franco sud-africain. Il est mis en œuvre en France par le Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères (MEAE) et le Ministère de l’Education nationale, de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche (MESRI), et dans le pays partenaire par la National Research Foundation.
L’objectif de ce programme est de développer les échanges scientifiques et technologiques d’excellence entre laboratoires des deux pays, en favorisant les nouvelles coopérations et la participation de jeunes chercheurs et doctorants. La durée des projets est de deux ans.
Tous les domaines scientifiques, dont les sciences humaines et sociales, sont concernés par ce programme.
